When I first started my little bookish Instagram account, @booklanguage, I created some templates that my fellow reader friends could screenshot and share. And, besides simply having so much fun with them, I found that I was seeing engagement with my account skyrocket on the days I was sharing templates on my Instagram Stories.

And, it’s funny, because my bookish account is one that’s just plain fun. I started it to track my reading habits and find new-to-me titles to add to my list. Well, it’s over a year later and I’ve seen so many fun opportunities come from it - like starting an international book club, launching bookish retreats (more on those later!), and forming relationships with authors and publishers.

The idea here is that you can have fun with your social media. It does not need to be all work and no play. Let loose and share some of your personal content on your business account. I bet it’s going to perform quite well, especially once you infuse more of your personality into your brand - if that’s something you’re into.
