Whew, it feels like we can all breathe a sigh of relief, right?

Our work is not done yet, though the ability to say last year (cough…2020….cough) feels so good.

And, this new year brings a new business model! New services, new offerings, new ways to support you. More on that soon. For now, we want to kick the year off on a good note. One that helps you run your business more efficiently in 2021 to give you time back for other things like self-care, family time, reading, or something else entirely.

And, here’s why → while your business may be all you, you are not your business. So, let’s get you operating more efficiently so that you can:

  • Build your client list

  • Make more sales

  • Get some “me” time back

4 ways to run your business more efficiently in 2021

1. Outsource

Stop spending time on tasks that you can easily outsource, like:

  • Accounting/bookkeeping

  • Contract-writing/management

  • Marketing (find a solid partner to help you build your business - 👋 hey hi hello)

  • Administrative tasks (get yourself a VA!)

2. Batch your time

I find that I'm most efficient when I batch my time, for example - creating one month of content in 2 hours. Or, having full days dedicated to editing my clients' photo galleries. It helps you stay focused. Plus, then you know what you’re working on ahead of time. No surprises (or mitigating them as much as possible) will help you stay on track.

3. Invest in tools to help you grow

Creating the right toolkit is imperative! Some of our favorites are:

  • Zapier for automating tasks and helping our other tools “talk” to each other

  • Trello for project management. I honestly have no idea what I would do without Trello

  • Calendly for scheduling. No more back on forth trying to find a time! Share your availability and let your clients/customers book the time that works for them.

  • Pixieset for delivering image galleries

  • Demio for hosting virtual workshops, classes, and webinars.

4. Find solid partners

This goes without saying, though we’ll say it anyway - work with people who believe in, support, and complement your business. Vet, look for reviews, ask around - do whatever you have to do to ensure it’s a good fit for you and your work.

How are you streamlining your work in 2021?
